Asia Howard has a diverse work experience background. Asia started their career as a Senior Stylist at Beauty Brands in 2014, where they provided hair, nail, makeup, and waxing services to clients while maintaining salon cleanliness. From 2016 to 2017, they worked as a Lancome Beauty Advisor at Macy's, where they educated clients on skincare, fragrance, and cosmetic products while providing excellent customer service. Asia then transitioned to the field of technology, working as a Consultant at Indiana University Information Technology Services in 2017, assisting customers with printing and technology problems. Asia also worked as an IT Intern at Indiana University School of Optometry, helping with software and technology issues at the Atwater Eyecare Clinic. Additionally, they served as a User Experience Design & Front-End Development Intern at Ambition In Motion in 2017, where they worked on web interface design and development using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Python. Asia continued their educational pursuits at Indiana University School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering, where they worked as an Undergraduate Instructor from 2018 to 2019. Asia then transitioned to the automotive industry, working as a Software Developer at General Motors from 2019 to 2023. Most recently, they have taken on the role of a Software Engineer III at Packback. Asia Howard holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Informatics, which was obtained from Indiana University Bloomington from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they pursued pre-requisite courses in Biology at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis from 2014 to 2016. Asia completed a Cosmetology/Cosmetologist program at PJs College of Cosmetology - Brownsburg from 2012 to 2014, earning a Certificate in the field. Asia's educational journey began at Avon High School, where they obtained their High School Diploma with a focus on Technical Honors from 2009 to 2014.
