Bob Brand

Bob Brand has over 25 years of experience in the software engineering industry. Bob began their career at DENSO as an Assistant Manager/Senior Member of the Technical Staff in 1997 and worked on call processing software for Sprint Touchpoint and Sprint dual-band Touchpoint PCS handsets. In 1999, they moved to Motorola as a Software Engineering Manager and led teams to develop IS-95 and IS-2000 software for wireless phones. In 2000, they joined WIDCOMM as a Director of Engineering and managed a team of engineers to develop BTE and BTE Mobile Bluetooth protocol and profile software. In 2004, WIDCOMM was acquired by Broadcom, and Brand moved back to Broadcom as a Senior Engineering Manager. Bob later became the Director of Engineering, WCC/WPAN, and led software and test teams developing Bluetooth and wireless product software in 2008. In 2015, they joined GoPro as a Senior Engineering Manager and managed the software team. Bob later became the Director of Software Engineering at Staccato in 2005, where they led software and test teams to develop wireless USB products. In 2008, they rejoined Broadcom and served as the Director of Engineering, WCC/WPAN. In 2017, they moved to Cypress Semiconductor Corporation as a Director of Software Engineering and was responsible for software development and team management. In 2020, they joined Turtle Beach as a Sr. Director of Software Engineering, responsible for software development and team management, until joining Packetcraft, Inc. in 2022 as the VP of Software Engineering.

Bob Brand earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in the years between 1985 and 1989. Bob then pursued a Master of Science in Computer Science at DePaul University from 1995 to 1996. Later, they attended Big Nerd Ranch, but it is unclear when this happened or what degree or field of study they pursued there.
