Denise Schaar-Buis

Denise Schaar-Buis currently serves as the HR/Safety Manager at PacStates, a position held since August 2021, where responsibilities include overseeing HR and safety protocols within Integrated Business Technology. In addition, Denise has been a Research Faculty Associate at the University of Nevada Reno since August 2015, focusing on grant writing, project and personnel management, data collection and analysis, and advising for the Grant Sawyer Center for Justice Studies and Judicial Studies Programs. Denise's earlier experience includes a role as Program Officer at the University of Nevada from November 1985 to August 2015, overseeing a Master’s program. Denise holds a BA in Psychology and Criminal Justice and an MA in Justice Management and Judicial Administration from the University of Nevada, Reno.
