Michael Weickert, Ph.D

Michael Weickert, Ph.D has a long history of work experience in the medical and life sciences fields. In 2020, they became the CEO of Fe Pharmaceuticals, a company focused on genuine breakthroughs in infectious disease, and the Executive Chairman of Chelation Partners, a company focused on medical indications related to iron availability. Michael was also appointed COO of Greenfire Bio and M2N that same year. In 2018, they became the Chief Operating Officer of Ohm Oncology and in 2014 they were a Consultant and Chief Business Officer at Therashock, LLC. From 2015 to 2017, they were an Advisor at the SPARK Translational Research Program at Stanford University School of Medicine, and from 2014 to 2018 they were a Senior Advisor at Biotech Alliances International. In 2018, they were also Interim CEO of Illumisonics, an independent research-based company producing innovative optical-, ultrasonic- and nano-technologies for medical and industrial applications. From 2007 to 2020, they were President of Wit Creek Partners, providing experienced CEO-level executive consulting to help startups and established companies.

Michael Weickert, Ph.D. began their educational journey in 1973 at Boylan Central Catholic. Michael then attended Southern Illinois University, Carbondale from 1978 to 1980, where they earned a BA in Biology. Michael then attended Northern Illinois University from 1980 to 1982, where they earned an MS in Biology. Finally, they attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1982 to 1989, where they earned an M.S. and Ph.D. in Genetics.
