Jason Ban

Jason Ban has over two decades of work experience in the legal field. Jason currently serves as the Deputy General Counsel at Pagaya, a position they have held since June 2023. Prior to this, they held the roles of Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Funds Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Pagaya Investments. Jason started their journey with Pagaya in March 2021 as a Senior Counsel.

Before joining Pagaya, Jason worked at Bank of America for over a decade, starting in July 2010. During their time there, they held the position of Director and Assistant General Counsel. In this role, they were responsible for structuring and negotiating various lending and finance transactions for the Global Banking and Markets group. Jason provided legal support to multiple coverage areas and advised senior business managers on complex issues. Additionally, they played a crucial role in implementing policies related to Dodd-Frank financial reform regulations and supervised attorneys while conducting training sessions.

Earlier in their career, Jason worked at Laurus-Valens as a Consultant and later as a Managing Director/Counsel/Chief Compliance Officer. Jason also worked at Century Tree Management as a Principal and at White & Case as an Associate in the Corporate and Financial Services Department.

Jason Ban has a strong education background in business and law. Jason pursued their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business Administration at Emory University's Goizueta Business School from 1991 to 1995. Following that, they attended Boston University School of Law from 1995 to 1998, where they obtained their Juris Doctor (JD) degree in Law. Jason then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Questrom School of Business, Boston University from 1996 to 1999, specializing in Business Administration.
