Joao Pedro Schmitt

Joao Pedro Schmitt is a Software Engineer with experience in designing and developing solutions using advanced technologies such as AWS OpenSearch, EKS, SQS, Java, and Spring Boot. Currently employed at Pagefreezer since April 2023, Joao is focused on creating efficient search capabilities within large databases. Previously, Joao held positions as a Senior Software Engineer at Critical TechWorks, working on software for BMW vehicles, and as a Technical Lead and Senior Software Engineer at Waitrose & Partners, where responsibilities included coordinating technical discussions and implementing software features. Joao also contributed to academia as a professor at Católica de Santa Catarina, teaching courses in software evolution and agile processes. Joao has a Master of Science in Computer Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence and a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, complemented by foundational studies in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications.
