Sofia Van Thienen has diverse work experience in the fintech industry. Sofia is currently the Head of Business - Fintech at Pagsmile since 2023. Prior to this role, Sofia was the Argentina Deputy Manager - Fintech at Pagsmile from 2022 to 2023. Before joining Pagsmile, they worked at PayRetailers as a Senior Sales Manager - Fintech from November 2021 to February 2022 and as a Business Relationship Manager from July 2020 to November 2021. Sofia also had a role in Support & Business Development - Fintech at PayRetailers from 2019 to 2020. Sofia has experience as the Head of Sales - Fintech at SmileWallet from 2017 to 2019, and at Ripio from 2014 to 2017. Additionally, they served as an Ejecutiva de Ventas - Cuentas KAM at Groupon from 2012 to 2014, and as an Ejecutiva de Ventas at Marriott International from 2009 to 2012. Sofia started their career as a Camarera at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in 2006.

Sofia Van Thienen completed their Licenciatura en Comercialización degree in Administration and Business at UADE from 2010 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Técnica Superior en Administración Hotelera degree in Administration and Business Management from Universidad Empresarial 'Siglo 21' from 2004 to 2008.
