Alexander van Eck is a highly experienced professional with a background in engineering and software development. Alexander started their career as a Web Developer/Consultant at Investico E-Commerce B.V. in 2012, where they successfully oversaw the transition of five E-commerce websites to a new platform. Alexander then served as a Webmaster, where they contributed to the internationalization of the company's e-commerce websites.
In 2013, Alexander joined PTI as a Technical Project Manager/PHP Developer. In this role, they estimated project workloads, provided technical feedback on proposed changes, and optimized the team's efficiency. Alexander also conducted code reviews and contributed to the development of PHP code for the company's software.
Following this, Alexander worked at StoreInfo as a PHP Web Developer from 2014 to 2015. Here, they focused on improving the core system of the StoreInfo software and provided guidance on implementing new features.
In 2015, Alexander co-founded CustomerInfo, a software-as-a-service platform for retailers to collect and utilize consumer data effectively. As the Lead Developer/Co-Founder, they successfully marketed and developed the product to over 10 customers, contributing to the growth of the platform.
From 2016 to 2018, Alexander held the position of Senior Python/DevOps Developer at Gall & Gall, the largest liquor retailer in the Netherlands. Alexander worked on projects related to the company's website and loyalty card program, which involved handling high web traffic and managing a large customer base.
In 2018, Alexander joined Aidence as a Lead Python Back-end Engineer. With this medical AI company, they played a significant role in the development and launch of Veye Chest, a product that automatically detects lung cancer in CT scans. Additionally, they contributed to the implementation of AI-based detection for other pathologies.
Currently, Alexander is working at Paige as a Staff Engineer, AI. Alexander'sresponsibilities include leveraging their expertise in AI to contribute to the company's technical advancements.
Alexander van Eck began their education at Westerlundska Gymnasiet in the year 2008 and continued until 2009, without obtaining a specific degree. Following this, they enrolled at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, also known as Hogeschool Utrecht, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in the field of Creative Industry/International Business Skills. Alexander attended this institution from 2009 to 2013. In addition to their formal education, Alexander obtained various certifications in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning. These certifications include "ISO 13485:2016 Internal Auditor (Quality Management Systems)" from the Irish Quality Centre in July 2020, as well as several certifications from Coursera in 2018 and 2019. The Coursera certifications they obtained cover topics such as deep learning, convolutional neural networks, natural language processing, and TensorFlow for artificial intelligence and machine learning.
