Gerard Slootweg

Gerard Slootweg has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Gerard is currently working at Paige as the VP of Sales, where they collaborate on the development of AI applications and facilitates the deployment of AI in laboratories. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Sales EMEA at Paige.

Before joining Paige, Slootweg held several positions at Philips. Gerard served as the Business Development Director Mobile Surgery from October 2020 to June 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Philips Pathology, where they were the Director of Sales for Digital & Computational Pathology in the US East, Midwest, and Canada regions, and later as the Sales Manager for Digital & Computational Pathology in the Netherlands, Finland, and Italy.

Slootweg began their career at Philips as a Technical Application Specialist in October 2007 and progressed through different roles such as Product Manager and Sr. Field Marketing Manager North America, responsible for the Electrophysiology market. Gerard also served as the Marketing Director for multiple ventures within Business Incubation, focusing on image-guided therapy innovations.

Before their tenure at Philips, Slootweg worked as an R&D Engineer at BerkelBike B.V., where they contributed to the design and implementation of a functional electrical stimulation device for cycling support. Gerard also worked as an R&D Engineer at Brainquiry BV, where they worked on wireless electrophysiological measurement systems for neurofeedback and a wireless wrist heart rate monitor.

Gerard Slootweg completed their Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Twente, covering the period from 1999 to 2004. In addition to their academic education, they also obtained certifications in General Business Management from Rutgers University in August 2013 and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from Philips in November 2010.
