Ayman Eid, PhD, currently serves as a Scientist at Pairwise since March 2023. Prior to this role, Ayman was a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Maryland from July 2021 to March 2023, working in Prof. Yiping Qi's lab focused on plant genome editing. Ayman also held a Postdoctoral Associate position at the University of Florida from May 2019 to June 2021 in Prof. Fredy Alpeter's laboratory specializing in crop biotechnology. Ayman completed a PhD in Biosciences at KAUST from August 2014 to May 2019, where work was conducted under Prof. Magdy Mahfouz in genome engineering. Ayman began academic training as a Research and Teaching Assistant at the American University in Cairo from 2010 to 2014, focusing on marine microbial extremophiles in addition to teaching responsibilities. Ayman's educational background includes a Master of Science in Biotechnology from the American University in Cairo and a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from Cairo University.
