Cherie Ochsenfeld, PhD, is a seasoned data scientist with extensive experience in statistical genetics and quantitative genetics. Currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at Pairwise since January 2019, Cherie manages hiring, budgeting, and employee development within the statistical department. Prior roles include Senior Research Scientist in BioStatistics at Corteva Agroscience and multiple positions at Dow AgroSciences, where Cherie led cross-functional projects and implemented next-generation sequencing in breeding applications. Cherie also has a solid background in education, having served as an instructor and course coordinator at Purdue University and various high schools.
