George Stiles has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. George started their career as a claims processor at Palmetto GBA in 1994, where they worked on the Medicare Durable Medical Equipment regional contract. George then moved up the ranks and became a Team Associate, responsible for claim adjudication and reviewing claims for Medicare supply limits.
In 2002, George joined Palmetto GBA again, this time as a Manager/Business Analyst, overseeing the operations of the Non-Group Health Plan unit. George successfully eliminated backlogged pending correspondence and reduced the total pending by 51%.
George also worked at BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina from 1994 to 2001, where they gained increasing responsibilities in operations. George implemented internal quality control and training departments, as well as a new data analysis department for reviewing claim payments.
In 2006, George joined Planned Administrators, Inc (PAI) as an Assistant Vice President, Operations. George later became the VP of Operations, responsible for administration, strategic planning, and continuous process improvement. Currently, they hold the position of President & COO, overseeing the long-term strategy and day-to-day operations of PAI, a nationally-licensed TPA serving self-funded clients and insurance carriers.
George Stiles obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Public Policy Analysis from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where they studied from 1989 to 1993. Following this, they attended Southern Wesleyan University from 2012 to 2014 and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General. Prior to their university education, George received their High School Diploma from South Mecklenburg High School from 1986 to 1989. In terms of additional certifications, George obtained a Property and Casualty Adjuster License from the State of South Carolina Department of Insurance in August 2016. George also acquired a Life, Accident, & Health Third Party Administrator License from the State of New Mexico Public Regulations Commission in February 2013, and an Accident & Health Independent Adjuster License from the State of New York Department of Financial Planning in October 2012.
