Abdul Majid

Mr. Abdul Majid is a graduate Chemical Engineer from NED University of Engineering & Technology Karachi. He joined Pakistan Refinery in 1990 and has 29 year diverse experience of working in various organizations both nationally and internationally. Though Refinery Operations has been his main forte, yet his expertise includes refinery Process Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Plant Commissioning and Trouble Shooting.

In his current position as General Manager Operations, he is responsible for safe, smooth and economical Plant & Oil Movement operations. He has a pivotal role in maximizing Refinery Margins through optimization of product mix, product yields, fuel and energy consumption and through reduced plant down time. While leading Oil Movement Section, he ensures accomplishment of company goals and objectives by safe handling of crude oil import & naphtha export operations and by producing PSI compliant Petroleum Products and their subsequent safe, timely and hassle-free disposal to OMCs.

Moreover, Mr. Majid also leads Refinery Emergency Response Team and acts as Emergency Manager on-site in case of any Fire/Spillages/Vapor & Gas release and related emergencies. Company has also entrusted him with the responsibility of Vice President of PRL Sports Club to positively contribute towards Team Building, foster healthy environment and provide entertainment opportunities for the Employees and their families.
