Candice Strawley

Built Environment Service Line Lead at PaleoWest

Candice Strawley currently serves as the Built Environment Service Line Lead at Chronicle Heritage, a position held since January 2024. Prior to this, Candice was the Office Principal at Commonwealth Heritage Group, Inc. from August 2014 to January 2024, and held short-term roles as a Cultural Resources Specialist at Thomas Comitta Associates, Inc. and Program Manager at Delaware Greenways in mid-2014. Candice began a career in historic preservation as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Center for Historic Architecture and Design, contributing to the Delaware Department of Transportation's Byways Program. Earlier experience includes working as a Museum Assistant at Stenton, where Candice conducted house tours and developed a research project on the site's historic property lines. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in Historic Preservation from the University of Delaware and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies and Photography from Philadelphia University.
