Douglas Kautz

Douglas Kautz is an experienced Physician Assistant specializing in orthopedic surgery, with a career spanning several decades. Currently employed at Paley Orthopedic & Spine Institute since February 2020, Kautz provides care for both pediatric and adult patients. Prior experience includes six years at Olmsted Medical Center where Kautz managed acute and urgent care, and 15 years at Mayo Clinic Rochester focusing on upper extremity surgery under the mentorship of Dr. Shawn O'Driscoll. Earlier roles include positions at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and the University of Maryland, where skills were developed in emergency care and the unique Ilizarov Method of external fixation.
