Dror Paley is the Founder and Medical Director of the Paley Orthopedic & Spine Institute, located in West Palm Beach, Florida. Dror introduced limb lengthening techniques to the United States in 1987 and has performed over 25,000 surgical procedures. Dr. Paley has written 8 books and over 250 peer-reviewed articles, holds numerous patents, and has developed important limb-lengthening and deformity correction devices. Dror is also the Medical Director of the Paley Middle East Clinic and the Paley European Institute. Additionally, Dr. Paley has held various academic positions, including Clinical Affiliate Professor of Surgery at FAU Schmidt College of Medicine and Professor at the Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont. Dror has also served as the Director of the Fellowship Program at St. Mary's Medical Center and as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Toronto School of Medicine. Dr. Paley has worked as a Staff Orthopedic Surgeon at The Hospital for Sick Children and as the Director and Co-Director at the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics and the International Center for Limb Lengthening, respectively.

Dror Paley has an extensive education history in the field of medicine. In 1973, they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from the University of Toronto. Dror then pursued an Internship in Orthopedic Surgery at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine from 1979 to 1980. From 1980 to 1985, Dror Paley completed their Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program at the University of Toronto.

Following their residency, Dror Paley undertook several fellowship and traveling fellowship programs to further their specialization. In 1985, they engaged in a Hand and Trauma Surgery residency program at the University of Toronto. In 1986, they completed multiple traveling fellowship programs in Limb Lengthening and External Fixation at various institutions, including the Hospital Borgo Roma in Italy, the Hospital of Lecco in Italy, the Kneikott Institute in the USSR, the Nufield Orthopaedic Hospital in England, and the University of Rome in Italy.

In 1987, Dror Paley pursued a Fellowship in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery at the Hospital for Sick Children in Canada. During this time, they gained valuable expertise and knowledge in this specialized area of orthopedics.

Through these educational experiences, Dror Paley has acquired a diverse and comprehensive background in various aspects of orthopedic surgery, particularly in limb lengthening, external fixation, hand and trauma surgery, and pediatric orthopaedic surgery.
