José Alberto García Lagunes

José Alberto García Lagunes has extensive experience in the finance and insurance industry. José Alberto started their career at Accenture as a Financial Services Analyst. José Alberto then worked at ING as a Technical Analyst and later as a Technical Results and Budget Manager. José then joined AXA, where they served as the Financial Planning and Control Manager in Spain. José Alberto also worked at AXA MedLa as a Regional PBR Analyst.

José's experience with Zurich Insurance Company Ltd was significant, where they held several roles, including Head of Planning and Performance Management and Chief Life Actuary. José Alberto was responsible for financial planning, reporting, and expense control. José also led the implementation of Solvency II and implemented improvements in finance processes, systems, and governance.

José co-founded Financial Planning, Strategy, and Business Controller before joining Pan-American Life Insurance Group as CFO for Mexico. Overall, José has demonstrated their expertise in financial planning, control, and transformation throughout their career.

José Alberto García Lagunes has a diverse education history. From 1996 to 2001, they attended Tecnológico de Monterrey and obtained a degree in Information Systems Engineering. In the year 2000, they briefly studied Systems Approaches to Management at the University of Hull. In 2014 and 2015, they pursued a Diploma in "Solvency II for Actuaries and Financial Professionals" at Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, specializing in Actuarial Finance and Insurance. Currently, José is enrolled in a diploma program in Corporate Finance at Escuela Bancaria y Comercial, which they are expected to complete in 2023. In addition to their educational pursuits, José obtained a certification in Corporate Finance from Escuela Bancaria y Comercial in March 2023.
