Philip Koonj Beharry

Philip Koonj Beharry is a legal professional with extensive experience in various capacities. Currently serving as a Senior Legal Officer (Manager) and Assistant Corporate Secretary at Pan-American Life Insurance Group since February 2022, Philip leads the Legal Department for the English Speaking Caribbean, focusing on contract negotiations, legal advice across departments, and supporting company initiatives. Previously, Philip worked as a Judicial Research Counsel for the Judiciary of Trinidad and Tobago, providing legal opinions and conducting complex research from April 2015 to February 2022. Philip's background also includes a role as a Litigation Associate at Girwar & Deonarine, where corporate legal strategies were developed, and earlier experiences as a legal intern and trainee. Philip holds a Master of Laws specializing in Maritime Law, a Postgraduate Certificate in International Business Law, a Legal Education Certificate, and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of London.
