Roger Gelwicks

Roger G.'s work experience begins with their current role as a Solutions Engineer at Paligo, where they manage end-to-end CCMS solutions for technical documentation and knowledge management. Prior to this, Roger operated as the proprietor of Roger Gelwicks Consulting, specializing in consulting services. Roger also served as a Technical Writer at Deck Commerce, where they reformatted documentation and improved the user experience of the Zendesk Guide. Before that, at Indigo BioAutomation, Roger was the company's first Technical Writer and Instructional Media Specialist, implementing Paligo as the preferred CCMS while contributing to help documentation. Roger then joined Healthx as their first Technical Writer, implementing Paligo and later witnessing the acquisition and merger with Zipari. Roger's career journey also includes positions as a Technical Writer & Trainer at the University of Central Arkansas, where they developed software training sessions and provided documentation support for the IT division. Their career began as a Training Specialist & Technical Writer at CAT Squared, gaining experience in technical writing and software training for the food processing industry.

Roger G. holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Instructional Technology from the University of Central Arkansas. Roger also completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Technical and Professional Communication from Cedarville University. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications, which include "The Art of API Documentation" and "Learn API Technical Writing 2: REST for Writers" from Udemy, both obtained in September 2020. Roger also completed the certification "Learn API Technical Writing: JSON and XML for Writers" from Udemy in July 2020.
