John Hennessy, CPA

John Hennessy, CPA has over 40 years of experience in finance and operations. John began their career in 1981 as an Audit Manager at Grant Thornton LLP. In 1987, they joined Groundwater Technology, Inc. as Corporate Controller, where they were responsible for all internal and external financial reporting and participated in the company's secondary public offering, raising $36 million. In 1989, they moved to GTEL Environmental Laboratories, Inc. as Director of Finance, where they were responsible for financial administration, business planning, information systems and vendor relations. The business rapidly grew to revenues in excess of $20 million and they implemented the division's first business planning and budgeting process. In 1996, they joined AstraZeneca as Head of Operations & Portfolio Management - Neuroscience R&D, where they helped build a novel, fully-externalized operating model to accelerate the development of their project portfolio. John was also involved in business development and successfully negotiated two deals. In 2016, they joined Palleon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as Vice President, Operations and Finance. In 2022, they moved to Palleon Pharmaceuticals as Senior Vice President, Operations and Finance.

John Hennessy, CPA obtained a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Indiana University Bloomington. John is also a Certified Public Accountant, certified by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
