Karen LaRochelle

Karen LaRochelle has a diverse work experience in the biotechnology and consulting industries. Karen currently serves as a Board Member for PaxMedica and as the Chief Business Officer to multiple biotechs at LaRochelle Advisors. Karen is also the Business Development Lead at Palleon Pharmaceuticals and a Venture Partner at Advent Life Sciences LLP. Previously, they held the position of SVP, Corporate and Business Development at WindMIL Therapeutics. Karen served as the Chief Business Officer at Psioxus Therapeutics from 2016 to 2019. Before that, they founded their own consulting firm, LaRochelle Advisors, LLC, providing business development services to biotechnology companies in the US and China. Karen has also held leadership positions at Bristol-Myers Squibb, including Global Business Development & Head of China Business Development. Additionally, they worked as a Consultant at Anderson Consulting.

Karen LaRochelle completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University, spanning from 1984 to 1988. Following this, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Finance and International Business from Columbia Business School, which they completed between 1991 and 1993.
