Lisa Jackson

Lisa Jackson is an experienced librarian with a diverse background in library services and management. Currently serving as Librarian III / Assistant Branch Manager at the Palm Beach County Library System since March 2024, Jackson previously held positions such as Youth Services Supervisor at the Broward County African-American Research Library and Cultural Center from August 2014 to January 2024, and Adult Services Supervisor at the Broward County Miramar Branch Library and Education Center from September 2008 to August 2014. Jackson has demonstrated strengths in team-building, programming for all ages, and services to children and teens, alongside proficiencies in bibliographic instruction and collection development. Academic credentials include a Master of Library and Information Science degree from Wayne State University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Northern Michigan University. Prior to a career in librarianship, Jackson worked in accounts payable at Deloitte Consulting from 1990 to 1996.
