Jonathan Vafai M.D.

Jonathan Vafai MD, FACC, FASE is a cardiologist currently serving as the Chairman of the Department of Cardiology and Medical Director of the Echocardiography Lab at Delray Medical Center since July 2012, and a Cardiologist with Tenet Florida Physician Services. Additionally, Jonathan has been a Medical Consultant for Change Healthcare since September 2016 and serves as an Affiliate Assistant Professor at Florida Atlantic University since January 2012. Jonathan completed a Cardiology Fellowship at Northwell Health from July 2007 to June 2010, where Jonathan was Chief Fellow from 2009 to 2010, and an Internal Medicine Residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center from July 2004 to June 2007. Prior research experience includes a position as a Research Fellow at The Rockefeller University from July 2002 to June 2004 and a Research Assistant role at New York University from August 1997 to August 1999. Educational credentials include an MD from NYU Grossman School of Medicine and a BA in Chemistry from NYU College of Arts and Science.
