Principal Flute at Palm Beach Opera

Karen Fuller is an accomplished flutist with extensive experience in orchestral and chamber music performance, currently serving as Principal Flute at Palm Beach Opera since 1989, Miami City Ballet since 2013, The SYMPHONIA in Boca Raton, Orchestra Miami, and Atlantic Classical Orchestra. As a co-founder and Board Member of the Palm Beach Chamber Music Festival since 1992, Karen has contributed to the production of numerous concerts in the region. Additionally, Karen serves as an Artist in Residence at several local high schools and has held teaching positions, including Instructor of Flute at Palm Beach Atlantic University. A graduate of the Manhattan School of Music and the Cleveland Institute of Music, Karen's performance credits also include work with Broadway Across America on numerous major productions.

Currently in their 53rd Season, Palm Beach Opera offers a variety of cultural programs from December through April including Opera @ the Waterfront – a free outdoor opera concert with PBO Orchestra and Chorus at the Meyer Amphitheatre, fully staged mainstage opera productions, a 5 month Young Artist Program for emerging professional opera singers, Young Artist Productions and educational programs, such as Children’s Performance, One Opera in One Hour, Concerts in the Classroom, Opera Rehearsal 101, and PBO Studio. Guest artists are internationally acclaimed, come to Palm Beach Opera from both the US and abroad, and have performed at all major opera houses worldwide. The Palm Beach Opera Chorus (up to 50 local singers who are committed to the highest musical values) and the Palm Beach Opera Orchestra (up to 75 musicians who have worked with major professional orchestras both nationally and internationally) enhance the company’s artistic productions. Palm Beach Opera is governed by a 24-member strong Board of Directors, and has an annual operating budget of $4.5-$5.00MM.
