Yichen Guan

Yichen Guan is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in consulting and research within social sciences and political analysis. Currently serving as Chief Consultant and Head of Owl Academy at PalmDrive Inc. since June 2019 and as a Consultant at IHS Markit since December 2018, Yichen has previously held positions such as Research Associate at the Institute for Quantitative Social Science, Independent Consultant for JSTOR, and Research Intern at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. Significant contributions include analyzing social media data from China and Iran, developing energy databases for the National Energy Commission, and reviewing research focused on Middle Eastern politics. Yichen holds a PhD in Government and an MA in Middle Eastern Studies from Harvard University, along with a BA in Arabic Language and Literature and Economics from Peking University, and has experienced an exchange program at Damascus University.
