Hydrotechnical Team Lead, Principal Fluvial Geomorphologist at Palmer

Dan McParland is an experienced hydrotechnical team lead and principal fluvial geomorphologist at Palmer since March 2016, specializing in fluvial geomorphology, watershed hydrology, and natural channel design. Prior to this, Dan worked as a fluvial geomorphologist at AECOM, focusing on innovative geomorphic solutions and conducting field investigations. Dan's academic background includes a Master of Science in Fluvial Geomorphology from The University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Geography from Queen's University. Additionally, Dan has held research assistant positions at both The University of British Columbia and Queen's University, contributing to projects on hydro-peaking dam impacts and soil science.
