Steve graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting in 1983. His professional affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants. He was awarded the PFS (personal financial specialist) designation in 2005.
Steve serves both commercial and individual clients across CT in a wide variety of matters including tax planning and compliance, business consulting, and financial planning.
Steve has significant experience in industries including wholesale distributors, retail stores, franchises, contractors, medical and dental practices, service businesses and hotels/leisure properties. He has served as an expert witness in various situations including marriage dissolution, partnership disputes, estate and gift planning, mergers, and sales of businesses. He also serves as a trustee for many trusts.
Additionally, Steve is a Registered Investment Advisor and manages investment portfolios for individuals, retirement plans, trusts on a fee only basis. These services are performed, and fees are charged through his separate firm, KOV Financial Advisors, LLC.
