Olivia Wix is an experienced communications professional currently serving as Communications Manager at Palmerston North City Council since December 2018. Previously, Olivia held the role of Communications Manager at Auckland University of Technology from September 2015 to December 2022, where responsibilities included media relations and strategic communications. Prior to this, Olivia was a Journalist/Producer at Radio New Zealand specializing in science and environment reporting from June 2011 to August 2015. Olivia also gained experience as a Journalist/Newsreader at Newstalk ZB and Classic Hits, and Radio 1xx, as well as a Video Journalist for the New Zealand Herald. Olivia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography and Media Studies from Victoria University of Wellington and has continued education at Auckland University of Technology.
