PALMET Group, formed in 1984, as an infrastructure contractor business has transformed into an integrated energy business covering natural gas distribution, power generation, gas and power trading. Our umbrella company, Palmet Enerji A.Ş. includes ownership of IZGAZ, PALGAZ and PALEN, three utilities that provide natural gas distribution services to Kocaeli, Greater Gebze and the entire Province of Erzurum. PALMET now serves more than 820 thousand subscribers in 2 provinces and 26 districts. Palmet Enerji’s yearly gas trade volume is close 6 billion cubic meters (BCM), which corresponds roughly to 12 percent of annual gas consumption in Turkey.

Palmet Enerji includes two gas trading entities called GAZPORT and GASLINE, who have been active in the natural gas wholesales market since 2009. In addition to gas trade and wholesales, we are also operational in electricity trade, wholesale and retail activity with PALPORT. 

Palmet Enerji includes PEG, Palmet Elektrik Grup, which has a power generation capacity of 921 MW. The driving vehicle of the group is the Baymina Power Plant which has a power production capacity of 800 MW. Aside from Baymina, the group is made of two 61 MW natural gas fired power plants (CCGT) in Luleburgaz and Aydın with Delta Enerji and Ales Enerji. These power plants are built for peak power consumption and can reach maximum production capacity easily. 

Palmet Enerji is also the owner of Eriç Hydropower Dam Project, which is a series of four cascading dams with a licensed generation capacity of 283 MW, currently under development. 

Palmet Enerji A.Ş.’s sister company Palmet Mühendislik Taahhüt ve Servis A.Ş. (Palmet Engineering) is an expert in telecommunications and energy infrastructure. Palmet Engineering provides EPC services including conceptual design of data centers, power plants and other high technology construction works.

The team ensures the seamless operation of multiple power plants and infrastructure projects, optimizes production capabilities, and manages peak power consumption to meet the energy demands of the regions served.
