Mercedes Pelayo

Mercedes Pelayo is an experienced accounting professional with a strong background in various roles within the finance sector. Currently serving as Controller at Palmetto Corp since September 2016, Mercedes has previously held positions including Senior Staff Accountant, Business Manager, and Office Manager in the Surveying Division. Prior to joining Palmetto Corp, Mercedes worked as a Staff Accountant at Barnaby and Sons LLC and an Office Manager at Coastal Carolina University, where responsibilities included managing electronic financial databases and training new employees. Mercedes holds a Master’s Degree in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, both from Coastal Carolina University, along with previous education at California State University, Northridge.
