John Thomas

John Thomas has a diverse work experience in the retail industry. John served as the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Merchandising Officer at Palmetto Moon from February 2019 to present. Prior to that, they were a Managing Partner at 13 Nomads, a boutique-consulting group that supports retail companies and brands. From 2003 to 2017, they held various leadership roles at Belk, including Executive Vice President Merchandising, EVP Merchandising/GMM Women's Apparel, and SVP Private Brands. John also served as a Board Member at Palmetto Moon from 2006 to 2016. Before joining Belk, they worked at Belk Central Division in roles such as SVP Merchandising GMM Mens/Home/Cosmetics/Shoes/Childrens and VP DMM RTW. John started their career as a Buyer at May Department Stores/Famous Barr.

John Thomas attended Washington University in St. Louis, where they obtained a BSBA degree from the John M. Olin School of Business. During their time at the university, they focused their studies on the fields of Biology and Psychology.
