Tom Farr

Tom Farr is currently a Pre-Sales Engineer at Palmetto Technology Group. Tom has over 15 years of experience in the IT industry, with a focus on sales engineering and system administration.

Tom started their career in 2004 as a Senior Manager of Infrastructure & Security at Junior Achievement USA. In this role, they were responsible for managing the organization's IT infrastructure and ensuring its security. Tom also performed desktop and server migrations in various environments.

In 2012, Tom left Junior Achievement USA to join Navakai, Inc. as a System Administrator. In this role, they provided support to 70 companies of various sizes through a local Managed Service Provider. Tom also designed solutions for desktops, laptops, and servers, and performed server and desktop migrations.

In 2013, Tom left Navakai to start their own IT consulting company, FGP International. Tom focused on Microsoft Exchange 2013 server builds and day-to-day server administration.

In November 2013, Tom joined EDTS, LLC as a Sales Engineer. In this role, they worked with sales representatives and customers to design effective solutions, including developing technical specifications, researching materials, determining costs, and compiling information into a scope of work document.

Tom left EDTS in January 2018 to join Palmetto Technology Group as a Pre-Sales Engineer. In this role, they are responsible for working with sales representatives and customers to design effective solutions, including developing technical specifications, researching materials, determining costs, and compiling information into a scope of work document.

Tom Farr has an Associates of Science in Computer Networking from ITT Tech. Tom also has a certification from Microsoft in AZ 900: Azure Fundamentals, a certification from CompTIA in Security +, and a certification from VMware in VMware Technical Solutions Professional (VTSP).
