Chandana Gowdara

Clinical Research Coordinator at Palo Alto Veterans Institute for Research

Chandana Gowdara is a Clinical Research Coordinator at the Palo Alto Veterans Institute for Research since February 2022, and a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, San Francisco since July 2019, where Chandana focuses on epidemiology and biostatistics under Professor Jeffrey Martin. Chandana has conducted independent research on Kaposi’s sarcoma-associated herpesvirus (KSHV) among HIV-infected adults in East Africa, prepared a systematic review, and performed advanced data analyses using STATA and R. Previous experience includes a Junior Research Fellow at CSIR−Central Food Technological Research Institute, an Assistant Professor at JSS College, and a Graduate Student Researcher at M. S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences. Chandana holds a Master's degree in Epidemiology from the University of California, San Francisco, an MTech in Biotechnology from M. S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, and a BE in Biotechnology from Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering.
