Located on the premises of the VA Palo Alto Health Care System, PAVIR is a mid-size nonprofit foundation, closely connected with the VA and Stanford University. The VA Palo Alto produces some of the highest quality research in the Federal System, and PAVIR is viewed by its 80+ Principal Investigators as a vital partner. PAVIR fulfills its mission by engaging in $30M+ of sponsored medical research funded by the NIH, DoD, other federal agencies, state agencies, foundations, and industry. We are proud of our 31-year history of service to Principal Investigators, VAPAHCS and the staff we employ. Most of PAVIR's 200+ employees directly work on over 100 different research projects aimed at improving health care. PAVIR's core office provides investigators and their labs with valuable administrative services, such as Contract & Grant administration (both pre-award and post-award), Human resources, Accounting, and Purchasing.
