Palo Pinto General Hospital
Palo Pinto General Hospital (PPGH) is the primary countywide provider of healthcare for Palo Pinto, west of Fort Worth, with more than 28,000 residents. PPGH, based in Mineral Wells, has moved to position itself in our community as more than just an acute care hospital and as a critically needed countywide resource to help foster wellness and combat higher incidences of disease common in rural communities. Palo Pinto County covers more than 950 square miles, and the county’s population is nearly double that of Mineral Wells, PPGH’s home base. “With such a spread across the region, we have pushed our services out into the county,” Ross Korkmas, PPGH’s chief executive officer, said. In 2021, PPGH opened a family care clinic at Possum Kingdom Lake, the third clinic outside Mineral Wells. PPGH also has family care clinics in Mineral Wells, Gordon, Santo, and an urgent care clinic in Mineral Wells. Our physicians practice a range of specialties. They include family practice, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, orthopedics, surgery, cardiology, gastroenterology, urology, ophthalmology, anesthesiology, pain management, radiology, infectious diseases, podiatry, critical care, pulmonology, emergency medicine, and hospitalists.
