Mak Keat Meng

Keat Meng has over 38 years of experience in auditing and advisory in EYLLP and retired from EYLLP in June 2019. In his many years with EYLLP, Keat Meng has held many leadership roles in Asean and Singapore. He was the Head of Audit, Quality Enablement Leader and Japanese Business Services Leader and a senior member of the firm’s management committee.

As a senior audit partner, he interacted with various business stakeholders on matters pertaining to their audits. He participates in speaking events, provides regular feedback on topical subjects pertaining to accounting standards and risk management, and volunteers on a number of key committees outside the firm. Keat Meng was awarded the PBM (Public Service Medal) for his distinguished work as Audit Committee Chairman for one of the Government bodies in 2015.

His extensive years of experience in conducting audits of large companies, and knowledge of risk management makes him a suitable candidate for leading the firm’s quality initiatives. As the Quality Enablement Leader, he is tasked to investigate cases of audit lapses/findings from inspections by the regulators and the firm’s in-house peer reviews. He also conducts training for the firm’s professional staff.
