Evelyn Oanh Nguyen serves as an Applications Engineer II at Palomar Technologies since November 2018, focusing on programming wire bonders and developing wire bonding processes for precision microelectronic and optoelectronic packaging solutions, along with a strong understanding of industry test standards such as ASTM, MIL, JEDEC, and IEC. Previously, Evelyn was a Graduate Researcher in Dr. Oscar Vasquez’s Laboratory at UC San Diego, where a significant achievement included winning the "Best Nano Engineering Senior Design Project of the Year" for designing a flexible photodetector using graphene oxide and quantum dots. Additionally, Evelyn contributed as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in Dr. Andrea Tao's Biosensing Laboratory, gaining experience in self-assembly of plasmonic nanoparticles and analytical techniques. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Nanotechnology: Bioengineering, both from UC San Diego.
