Kevin DeBruin

Kevin DeBruin is the Chief Legal Officer at Palomar Health. Kevin has been with the company since May of 2015, starting as a Law Clerk in the General Counsel's office. Kevin has a wealth of experience in analyzing various state and federal statutes, such as HIPAA, HITECH, Stark law, Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, and the Brown Act. Kevin is also experienced in reviewing and preparing business association agreements, employment contracts, purchase agreements and confidentiality agreements. Kevin is a quick thinker and is able to address legal issues presented by internal clients efficiently. Kevin also has experience composing and editing research memoranda and letters for the General Counsel and staff. Prior to working at Palomar Health, Kevin was a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Gonzalo P. Curiel at the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. Kevin was also a Research Assistant at the University of San Diego School of Law from May 2014 to May 2016. Kevin has also worked as a Contract Attorney from December 2016 to January 2018.

Kevin DeBruin completed their undergraduate degree at Aquinas College - Grand Rapids, where they studied history. Kevin then went on to law school at the University of San Diego School of Law and obtained their Juris Doctor degree. Kevin is a member of the State Bar of California and is certified in LexisNexis Professional Research and Thomson Reuters WestlawNext.

They work with Virginia Barragan - VP, Continuum Care, Ryan Olsen - CEO, Medical Group, and Patricia Kassab - VP, Quality. Their manager is Diane Hansen, CEO. and Helen Waishkey - Corporate Compliance Officer reports to Kevin DeBruin.
