Francesco Antonio Ferrante is an experienced professional in logistics and purchasing, currently serving as a Purchasing Officer at Palumbo Shipyards since October 2022. Previously, Francesco worked as a Logistic and Purchasing Controller at AirX Charter from February 2022 to February 2023. Francesco's background includes military service in the Italian Army from April 2016 to April 2017 as part of Operation “Strade Sicure- Val di Susa,” where Francesco held the position of Alpino. Palumbo Shipyards
Palumbo was founded in 1967 and started its activity as small carpentry to support the local market of ship repair. Nowadays the group is a major player in the Mediterranean sea and in the Atlantic ocean. It operates with 7 shipyards located in Naples, Messina, Malta, Marseille, Tenerife, Ancona and a commercial office in Monaco. Palumbo is a leader for ship repair, conversion, refitting, offshore, new build and is certified ISO 30000:2009, ISO 9001:1998, ISO 14000:2005. It have been declared also compliant with the organizational and management model OHSAS 18001. In 2014, obtained the certification for the maintenance and repair of LNG carriers specializing in the transportation of liquefied natural gas from the GTT (Gaztransport & Technigaz).
