Lyle Pienaar

Lyle Pienaar is an experienced professional in risk management and security, currently serving as Executive: Risk and Security at Pan African Resources PLC since January 2019. Lyle's career includes significant roles such as Senior Intelligence Officer for the South African Government from July 2009 to December 2018, Director of the Security Enhancement Project at the Department of Correctional Services, and various positions at the Gauteng Department of Community Safety. Lyle began a career in education as a History Teacher and also served as a Soldier in the South African Defence Force. Academically, Lyle holds multiple degrees from the University of Pretoria, including a Master's in Fraud Risk Management, a Doctorate in Political Science focused on National Security Policy Studies, and a Master's in Security Studies. Additional credentials include a Master's Certificate in Social Impact Assessment from the University of Johannesburg and a BA Honours in Political Science.
