Retired Regional Advisor Environmental Epidemiology at Pan American Health Organization

Agnes Soares da Silva is a seasoned professional in public health, currently serving as the Director of DVSAT/SVSA at the Ministry of Health in Brazil since July 2023. With a long-standing affiliation with the Pan American Health Organization from March 2010 to the present, Agnes has held roles as a Regional Advisor in Environmental Epidemiology and later as a Retired Regional Advisor in the same field. Academically, Agnes holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Environmental Health from USP - Universidade de São Paulo, obtained between 1989 and 1994, and a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from UEL - Universidade Estadual de Londrina, earned from 1976 to 1982.
