Melissa Wood

Melissa Wood is an experienced educator and administrator, currently serving as the Director of Special Education Services at the Panama-Buena Vista Union School District. Melissa has held prominent positions such as President of the California Association of School Psychologists since July 2022, and previously worked as the SELPA Coordinator at Kern County Superintendent of Schools from October 2019 to June 2022. Prior to that, Melissa was the Director of Special Education and School Psychologist at Taft City School District from July 2014 to September 2019. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in History/Political Science and a Teaching Credential in Social Science Teacher Education from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University, and a Master of Science in School Psychology from National University.
