Svyatoslav Poleshchuk

Svyatoslav Poleshchuk has a diverse work experience in the field of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and cartography. Svyatoslav started their career as a Cartographer at Mapline where they created and edited wall maps, desktop atlases, and GPS navigator maps using Mapinfo and Russian GIS software.

After that, they worked as an Engineer of Digital Information Processing at Geokosmos, where they controlled and verified the quality of aerial data, processed LiDAR data, and made classifications of airborne laser reflection points.

Poleshchuk then joined The Innoter Geoinnovation Agency as a GIS Specialist and later as an Engineer-Cartographer/Engineer of Remote Sensing Data. In these roles, they created maps and exhibits using GIS datasets, examined and compiled data from surveys and photographs, and reviewed and analyzed automated test results.

Svyatoslav also worked at LandWorks, Inc. as a GIS Specialist and later as a Senior GIS Specialist/Team Lead. Here, they utilized ESRI ArcGIS and LandWorks software to convert legal descriptions and plats into digitized format, interpreted legal land documents, and mapped land parcels for oil, gas, utility, and real estate companies.

Currently, Poleshchuk holds the position of GIS Business Analyst at Pandell, where their responsibilities include data analysis and providing GIS solutions.

Throughout their career, Poleshchuk has demonstrated expertise in GIS tools and software, quality control, mentoring, and training. Svyatoslav has also gained experience in various industries such as oil and gas, utility, real estate, and remote sensing.

Svyatoslav Poleshchuk started their education at School 401 in 1994 and completed their high school education there in 2004. Following that, they pursued a Specialist's degree in Geographic Information Science and Cartography at Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography (MIIGAiK) from 2004 to 2009. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a certification in "Managing Your Time" from LinkedIn in January 2017, a certification in "Duolingo Spanish Fluency: Elementary (Estimated)" from Duolingo in September 2015, and a "Partner Certification Training" from DigitalGlobe in July 2014.
