Jason Carlson, MPH has over 20 years of experience in clinical research and development. Jason currently works as a Clinical Research & Development Consultant at Carlson Clinical Research and Development Consulting, where they provide consulting services to biotech, pharma, medical device, and digital health companies. Their responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional colleagues, technology providers, health systems, and academic institutions for publications and regulatory submissions. Jason also contributes to strategy, planning, and execution in various areas such as study design, data collection and management, software and technology utilization, privacy protection, and regulatory submission preparation.

In addition, Jason is a Co-Founder of Pandora Bio, Inc, a startup company. Jason works with co-founders, advisors, partners, and investors to establish, build, and scale the company. Jason leads efforts related to data strategy, privacy and security, product development, business planning, team building, and publication and IP roadmap.

Prior to their current roles, Jason served as a Senior Director and Director of Clinical Data Management at GRAIL, Inc. where they were responsible for the capture, curation, and management of clinical data for clinical studies in the US and the UK. Jason also led a team of clinical data management professionals and contributed to the development and launch of the first Multi Cancer Early Detection (MCED) product.

Before their time at GRAIL, Inc., Jason worked as the Global Head of Clinical Data Management and EDC Programming at Gilead Sciences. Jason provided oversight and support for clinical data management activities in various therapeutic areas including Oncology, HIV, HCV, HBV, Cardiovascular/Metabolic, Respiratory, and Inflammation.

Jason's earlier experience includes roles as a Director of Clinical Data Management at CV Therapeutics, Assoc. Dir Clinical Data Management at Clinimetrics, and Clinical Data Manager at Roche. Jason also gained experience as a Data Assistant at the University of California, Davis and completed volunteer internships at the Poison Control Center and the Orthotics Laboratory at the UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, DAVIS MEDICAL CENTER.

Jason Carlson, MPH, has a diverse education history. In 1992, they began their undergraduate studies at the University of California, Davis, where they focused on Molecular and Cellular Biology and received a degree in Genetics in 1996.

In 2020, Jason pursued further education by enrolling in the Global MPH Program at Imperial College London. Jason successfully completed their Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in 2022.

In addition to their formal education, Jason has obtained several certifications to enhance their knowledge and skills in various areas related to healthcare and data science. In 2019, they earned a Data Science Professional Certificate from IBM through the Coursera platform. Jason also completed the Health Informatics Specialization and the Data Science Specialization, both offered by Johns Hopkins University through Coursera, in 2020.

Continuing their professional development, Jason obtained additional certifications in the field of clinical data science. In 2022, they completed the "GCP for Clinical Trials with Investigational Drugs and Medical Devices (U.S. FDA Focus)" program offered by the CITI Program. In 2023, they further expanded their expertise by completing the "Clinical Data Science" certification from the University of Colorado and the "AI in Healthcare" certification from Stanford University, both obtained through Coursera.
