Michael Waddell has a diverse work experience spanning from 2003 to present. From 2003-2006, they worked as an Intern at Abbott Laboratories, where they designed and implemented SELDI Filter, an application for automated analysis of proteomic mass spectrometry data. From 2006-2013, they worked at Pangaea Information Technologies, Ltd. as a Senior Software Architect and Director of Information Technology, as well as an AI Software Developer and Bioinformaticist. Since 2013, they have been a member of the Data & Impact Advisory Panel at Ingenuity Incorporated, where they develop strategies to create innovative, aligned, and streamlined data collection and tracking solutions in the arts education sector.
Michael Waddell obtained three Bachelor's degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Mathematics, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology, as well as a Master's degree in Computer Science, between 1995 and 2006. In April 2010, they were awarded the Information Assurance Security Officer Certification from the Department of the Army. In June 2021, they were certified as a Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) by (ISC)\u00b2.
