Jason Lam has a diverse work experience in the software development field. Jason is currently working as the Chief Software Architect at PANGIAM since February 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Software Development Lead at the same company since January 2021.
Before joining PANGIAM, Jason worked at Octo from March 2018 to December 2020 as a Principal Software Engineering Manager. Their responsibilities included designing and implementing geospatial search and retrieval systems, managing a cross-functional agile team, implementing CICD pipelines, deploying and troubleshooting containerized applications, and providing technical expertise and mentoring to direct reports.
From August 2014 to March 2018, Jason worked at Linkware as a Senior Software Engineer. Jason led the development of the Traveler Verification System (TVS) for Land Port of Entry and developed springboot microservice applications hosted on AWS. Jason also supported the development of TVS for the air environment and acted as a technical subject matter expert.
Jason's earlier experience includes working as a Senior Software Engineer at Lockheed Martin from August 2007 to September 2014. Jason was involved in architecting the functional conformance tests for the Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) Integration Backbone (DIB) program and designing tests for various web services protocols and message specifications.
Additionally, Jason has served as a Board of Directors member at the National Organization for Vietnamese-American Leadership (NOVAL-DC) in 2013. Jason also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Virginia Tech from August 2006 to May 2007 and as a Software Engineer Intern at ManTech International in the summer of 2006.
Furthermore, Jason gained experience as an Information System Intern at Anheuser Busch in the summer of 2005 and as a Test Engineer Coop at GE from August 2004 to January 2005.
Jason Lam completed their education with a Master of Science degree in System Engineering from The George Washington University in 2011. Prior to that, they obtained another Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech, where they also pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, and Mathematics from 2002 to 2006.
