Katherine Hoyer

Katherine Hoyer, MA, is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Communications Manager and Public Information Officer at Panhandle Health District since February 2018. Previously, Katherine held positions at the University of Idaho Coeur d'Alene in marketing communications from June 2017 to February 2018, and as the Convention & Visitor Bureau Director at the Coeur d'Alene Convention & Visitor Bureau from May 2009 to June 2017, where key responsibilities included writing and implementing grant proposals awarded through the Idaho Department of Commerce. Earlier career experience includes serving as a Peer Mentor at the Center for Civic Engagement from January 2006 to May 2009, a role focused on helping students identify service learning opportunities. Katherine holds a Master's Degree in Strategic Communication from Washington State University’s Edward R. Murrow College of Communication and a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations and Business Marketing from Washington State University.
