Stephany Small, Ph.D., is an accomplished Patent Agent with extensive experience in intellectual property across various life science sectors, including novel plant varieties and transgenic plants. Currently serving at Panitch Schwarze Belisario & Nadel LLP since February 2020, Stephany previously worked at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC and Human Genome Sciences. The practice entails procuring and preserving patents, managing prosecution, and collaborating with scientists and outside counsel. With a Ph.D. in Cell and Microbial Biology from The Catholic University of America and a B.A. in Biology from Franciscan University of Steubenville, Stephany has also conducted post-doctoral research focused on gene regulation and development in Caenorhabditis elegans.
