Edward Weinstein

Edward Weinstein has a diverse and extensive work experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. Edward is currently serving as the Co-Founder and CEO of Panome Bio since November 2022. Prior to that, from October 2016 to April 2022, they held the position of President and CEO at Canopy Biosciences.

Edward also has academic experience as an Adjunct Professor at The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont, where they were a member of the SPARK committee from June 2014 to February 2018. During this time, they actively worked on bridging the gap between research and the marketplace.

Edward has also worked at various companies such as BioGenerator, Horizon Discovery, and SAGE Labs, where they held leadership positions as an Entrepreneur in Residence, President, and President respectively.

Earlier in their career, Edward held positions at Sigma Aldrich as Director and Manager of Operations from January 2009 to April 2013 and from June 2005 to January 2009, respectively. Edward also served as a Senior Scientist at Merck from June 2003 to May 2005 and as a Senior Biologist at Pfizer from May 2000 to June 2003.

Edward Weinstein received their Bachelor of Science degree in Cellular Molecular Biology/Chemistry from the University of Michigan, where they studied from 1989 to 1993. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a PhD in Genetics at Harvard University, from 1994 to 2000.
