Software Development Engineer at Panopto

Kevin Norman has a strong background in software development and system administration. From 2014 onwards, they worked at Panopto as a Software Development Engineer, where they played a key role in implementing and delivering the E-CDN webcast capabilities of the company. This contributed significantly to securing over $500K in new contracts. Kevin also successfully integrated customer systems with the company's infrastructure from UI to AWS backend. Prior to Panopto, Kevin served as a Software Development Engineer II at Microsoft from 2011 to 2014, where they focused on B2B systems and developed a two-way bug sync system between Product Studio and major partners like Intel. Kevin was also involved in the migration to Visual Studio. Before joining Microsoft, Kevin worked as a Unix System Administrator for Access Control at Residential Computing at UC Berkeley from 2010 to 2011. In this role, they worked on developing UC Berkeley's captive portal wireless software Circe and secured the campus-wide wireless system using Squid, IP Tables, Perl, switches, and routers.

Kevin Norman earned their Bachelor's degree in Physics and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. Kevin attended the university from 2006 to 2011.
